Winter can be tough on mental health, and staying connected to support is more important than ever. Our challenge? To engage people with Mind during the colder months, when mental well-being is at its most vulnerable. The truth is simple—hearing birdsong can boost your mood for up to 8 hours. That’s where our idea comes in: Transport for Mental Health. By bringing the uplifting power of birdsong to unexpected places, we created moments of calm and connection, reminding people that support is always within reach.
Walkways in tube stations all over London are transformed into a mood-boosting experience by playing birdsong.
Ambassadors outside stations in the mornings hand out cards linking to our mood boosting Spotify playlist with birdsong, as well as dark chocolate as a treat to boost brain function.
